The gaming PC market is booming, with MSI unveiling the first major design based on Intel Core Ultra hardware. The MSI Claw follows in the footsteps of Asus ROG Ally and Lenovo Legion Go, but the company is already working on a second, third, and fourth model. Clifford Chun, MSI’s System Product Manager, expects the Claw to have a two-to-three-year lifecycle, similar to their laptops. However, development of new models will depend on CPU and integrated graphics upgrades that are not yet available. While there’s no ironclad commitment to more Claw models, the fact that the company is already anticipating follow-up models indicates a belief in the future of PC gaming handhelds. If the first model is not successful, MSI will likely abandon this segment.
