Microsoft has introduced the Surface Pro 10 for Business and the Surface Laptop 6 for Business, marking a new line of devices specifically designed for business use. Orders are now being accepted, with shipments starting on April 9 and prices starting at $1,199 for both models. The consumer versions of the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 are expected to be released in May. Microsoft has also teased additional Surface hardware and AI improvements to come.
The new Surface devices feature upgrades tailored for business needs, such as Intel’s Core Ultra processor, NFC on the Surface Pro 10, a smartcard reader on the Surface Laptop 6, and enhanced sign-in security. Both devices are Secured-Core PCs, offering improved security measures. The Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 boast brighter, anti-reflective screens, better webcams, and a new Copilot key for AI assistance.
An AI block called the NPU is integrated into Intel’s Core Ultra chips, enabling features like automatic zoom and panning on Windows 11. Microsoft showcased how Copilot can assist users in organizing notes and reformatting content. The Surface Pro 10 for Business also includes a 1440p Ultrawide Studio Camera, making it a versatile tool for video calls. The Surface Laptop 6 for Business features a standard 1080p camera.
For outdoor use, the Surface Pro 10 for Business offers a bright 600-nit screen with improved contrast and reduced reflections. It will also support 5G connectivity in select markets later this year. Overall, the new Surface devices are tailored to meet the demands of business users, setting a new standard for Microsoft’s business-oriented hardware lineup.
