Microsoft Windows 12 is expected to launch in June of 2024, according to reports from Taiwan. The chairman of Acer and contract manufacturer Quanta were quoted as the sources of this information. The Taiwan’s largest financial paper, Commercial Times, reported on comments made by these executives and also mentioned about the “AI PCs,” a new category of PCs that Intel chief executive Pat Gelsinger announced in July. The possibility of Windows 12 utilizing local AI capabilities instead of cloud-based AI capabilities seen in Windows 11 is still unclear. The launch date of June 2024 is not certain, but it’s largely assumed that Microsoft will launch Windows 12 next year. There has been no response from Microsoft representatives regarding this information.
