The XPS 13 has been a top choice for thin-and-light Windows laptops for nine years, with Dell now offering last year’s model with a 12th-gen Core i5 processor for $599, a $400 discount for the base model. The 9315 version of the XPS 13 lacks the touch-sensitive function row found in the Plus designs and includes 8GB of DDR5 RAM, 256GB of SSD storage, and a 13.4-inch, 1920×1200 non-touchscreen with a bright 500-nit rating. While the laptop is sleek, it could improve in performance according to PCWorld’s review. An upgrade option for $200 provides a Core i7 processor, 16GB RAM, and 512GB storage. Doubling those specs raises the price to $999, but the Umber color option is only available on the $599 model.
