Microsoft is planning to bring its new AI assistant Copilot to Windows 10 in addition to Windows 11 as part of the 2023 Update, according to sources. Despite previous reports that Microsoft was solely focused on Windows 11, the company is looking to cater to the large percentage of users still on Windows 10. With over a billion devices still running Windows 10, Microsoft wants to ensure that Copilot is accessible to as many users as possible. Additionally, the company is reportedly working to attract developers to build plug-ins for Copilot by showcasing the potential user base. Internal discussions about extending the support end date for Windows 10 beyond October 14, 2025 are also ongoing, although no decision has been made yet.
