Alienware AW2725DF: A Review of OLED’s 360Hz Refresh Rate

The Alienware AW2725DF further enhances OLED’s motion clarity with a 360Hz refresh rate without increasing the price. The 27-inch QD-OLED display has a 2560×1440 resolution and VESA Display True Black 400 certification, and is priced at $899.

The monitor’s design includes LED accents and various materials, with an ultra-thin design, slim bezels, and a thin profile. It also comes with an ergonomic stand that adjusts for height, tilt, and swivel, and includes cable management and a 100x100mm VESA mount.

In terms of connectivity, the AW2725DF has two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, several USB-A downstream ports, and a USB-C downstream port. The menu system offers comprehensive image quality options and gaming features, but lacks speakers.

In terms of SDR image quality, the AW2725DF delivers vibrant colors, but has a maximum brightness of 245 nits and an infinite contrast ratio. Its color accuracy is strong, achieving a default color temperature of 6300K and a gamma curve of 2.2. While the monitor performs well, similar or better performance can be obtained from other displays.
