The 14th-gen Raptor Lake Refresh desktop chips were clearly aimed at mainstream users, including businesses. There are eighteen new processors in the new lineup, with a mix of 35W and 65W chips. These chips represent an affordable option, with the vast majority of them clustering in the Core i5 category. The main focus of these new processors is offering more mainstream users an appealing option. Many of the new parts are 35W processors which provide a moderate base speed, but can reach aggressive clock speeds when necessary. Additionally, new T-series processors have been introduced, offering vPro compatibility for business PCs. Intel promises platform improvements this generation, with the introduction of USB 3.2 2×2 support, WiFi 7, and more.
